    Injection Molding

    Molds can be fabricated in aluminum (low volume, low cost), P20 (mid volume) or S7, H13 for high volume production. EPM is familiar with molding a variety of polymers, sometimes referred to as resins, including all thermoplastics, thermosets, and elastomers. Common polymers like epoxy and phenolic are examples of thermosetting plastics while nylon, polyethylene, and polystyrene are thermoplastic.

    We have a combination of over 18,000 materials available. Materials include alloys or blends of previously developed materials. Your product designers can choose the material with the best set of properties from a vast selection. Major criteria for the selection of a material are the strength and function required for the final part, as well as the cost, but each material has different parameters for molding that must be taken into account. Our engineers would be happy to help with material selection to make sure you get the best solution for your product.

    We produce prototypes in-house for our clients. Our seasoned team of experts will take your design to fruition, making sure it works perfectly for your company first.

    Prototypes are a cost-effective and efficient way to make sure your product is exactly what your are looking for. We have a partnership with local company, Laser Modeling 3, which can design 3D prototypes for our customers. Prototype designs can be produced in full color without tooling expense. Design changes are easy to make, and turnaround time is merely days.

    Once the design is approved, hard tooling can be created. Parts are then molded and painted if needed, graphics are silkscreened and added components are assembled.
