Our typical product development process begins with a customer supplied piece part drawing, CAD file or 3D file. However, our mold makers are also skilled designers, who would be happy to ensure the part is ready for manufacturing and solve any issues that may arise.
Depending on the scope of your project and what parts need to be built by us, we will decide if RIM or Injection Molding best suits your plan. After 50 years of business, EPM has streamlined this process to optimize the shortest timeframe for product delivery.
Our RIM molding processes require that the molded components be “finished” utilizing our painting expertise. Textured finishes, multi-colors or specialty coatings such as EMI shielding can be applied per your specifications. In 2014, EPM expanded its capabilities by adding a Vac-U-Form department.
Once your product or product pieces have been designed, created and finished, our expert team puts them together. You can rest assured that your product will be delivered to your needs and specifications, and on time, too.
With EPM’s internally integrated capabilities in 3D printing, mold design, mold fabrication, product production, finishing and assembly capabilities, we offer customers a “one-stop” location for their molding needs. Our engineering team can take a CAD file or even a design concept and develop tooling that can be used in one of our 17- to 500-ton presses.
